Between you and me, I'm going to spend November in a very nice house (not a hotel) on a beautiful island in Agean sea. I'm not sure if any models read journals like mine... That's why I'm asking the photographers: how do you find models for shootings at remote locations where you are a stranger? Any useful experience to share? Thanx in advance.
Well, in the USA I use modelmayhem.com It's a "free" modeling website that links photographers, models, makeup artists, hair, costume, etc. I think it may extend worldwide as I've seen models from Russia, UK, etc. I'm sure there is a local model site for the area you are visiting. Nearly all of my models were contacted either through that site and a few were contacted through good ol' DeviantArt. I just sent out a note as to when I was traveling and then made arrangements.
